Dempsey/Wright Motorsports Hopes to Continue
Brumos Racing's Winning Tradition at Sebring

BATAVIA, Ohio, March 13 - Dempsey/Wright Motorsports hopes to add a brand new chapter to Brumos Racing's winning tradition on Saturday, March 21 in the 63rd annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh from Florida at Sebring International Raceway in Sebring, Fla.

It will be the 21st time that a car in Brumos Racing livery has competed in the iconic race, and the second time that the popular Jacksonville, Fla.-based company's colors have been carried by a Porsche 911 GT America car prepared by Batavia, Ohio-based Wright Motorsports. The effort certainly has momentum, as the #58 finished on the podium in the season opener in January at the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Drivers Madison Snow of Lehi, Utah; Jan Heylen of Tampa, Fla. and Patrick Dempsey of Malibu, Calif. will try to build on Brumos Racing's success at Sebring. The late Peter Gregg posted two class victories for Brumos before his overall Sebring 12-Hour victory in 1973 driving with Hurley Haywood and Dr. Dave Helmick. Haywood still holds the record as the driver who has made the most starts at Sebring with 28.

Last year both Brumos Racing and Gregg were unanimously inducted into the Sebring Hall of Fame Museum. Brumos Racing was the first team ever honored with this distinction.

In addition to Brumos Racing, other marketing partners for the effort include Porsche, Beautyrest mattresses, Bilstein shocks, Spyder active sportswear and Universal Industrial Sales.

This year the #58 will be one of 17 entries in the GT Daytona class in the 47-car, once-around-the-clock classic on the 3.74-mile, 17-turn road course that attracts a crowd of kids on spring break as well as motorsports enthusiasts. It is the second race of the year for both the Tudor United SportsCar Championship and the Tequila PatrĂ³n North American Endurance Cup.

At 19, Snow is the youngest driver on the current entry list. He is also the only driver entered who can say that both his mother and his father are past winners of this race.

Along with Patrick Huisman, Melanie and Martin Snow drove a Porsche Turbo to the GTS class victory and finished ninth overall at the Twelve Hours of Sebring in 1999, which was the first American Le Mans Series race ever.

Madison Snow was only 3 and he wasn't in attendance when his parents were on the top step of the class podium for this race, but this is his second start in the 12-Hour. He and Heylen, along with the Plumb brothers, finished ninth in class last year. Snow won the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA championship in 2013 driving a Wright Motorsports-prepped Porsche, and Wright Motorsports will also field five Porsches in that series' season-opening doubleheader at Sebring that supports the 12-Hour.

Wright Motorsports owner John Wright also guided Schumacher Racing's Porsche 911 that won the GT-2 class at Sebring in 1996. The drivers were Andy Pilgrim, Will Pace and Larry Schumacher.

Fox Sports 1 will cover this year's event live beginning at 10:30 a.m. Eastern time March 21 before the coverage switches to Fox Sports 2, IMSA.com and back to Fox Sports 2 for the finish. Fox Sports 1 will then air a highlights show from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Sunday, March 22.

Live timing and scoring will be available on IMSA.com.

Wright Motorsports' Web site is at WrightMotorsports.com. The team is also active on Facebook and Twitter.
